Yankees Topple Red Sox, 6-5, as Torkelson Shines
The New York Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox, 6-5, in part because of first baseman Spencer Torkelson. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The save went to Bobby Strange, his 24th this season. The Yankees, at 65-94, sit in last place in the American League East Division.

Torkelson had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count cutter from Jason Matherson, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Yankees a 6-5 lead. It was the 32nd home run of the year for Torkelson.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Boston manager . "The effort was great."
