Mariners Lose to Rat Pack in Walk Off
|
The Seattle Mariners got a sterling performance from pitcher Clint Clark, but the Las Vegas Rat Pack still prevailed, 5-4. Clark threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. Ricky Donahue earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 2-0. Las Vegas is now 82-77, Seattle 85-74.
Steve Carr was the walk-off hero for Las Vegas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rat Pack center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Carr described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
