Swinburne, Pytko Suspended for Fracas Saturday, September 7th , 2030 Yesterday at Camelback Ranch Dusty Swinburne and Jamie Pytko got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Chicago A (AZL) White Sox and Arizona (AZL) Diamondbacks. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Swinburne will have to sit out 3 while Pytko would be given a 7-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. For the year Swinburne has hit .225 with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 12 runs. Pytko has made 8 starts this season, posting 1 win and 4 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .336 against him and he has 31 strikeouts in 34.1 innings with a 6.29 ERA. |
