Eaton Goes Downtown 3 Times Against White Sox Sunday, September 22nd , 2030 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Chicago A (AZL) White Sox today. Texas (AZL) center fielder John Eaton tripled up on the home runs to propel the Rangers to the 8-6 win at Surprise Stadium. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Chicago A (AZL) manager said. "Eaton hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Eaton collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." John Eaton struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Edgar Rangel in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Edgar Rangel in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Dan Schneider in the 8th. In his season totals Eaton has 9 home runs and a .246 batting average. |
