San Diego (AZL) Wins Round 1 Monday, October 7th , 2030 San Diego (AZL) left fielder Jon Guerrero couldn't hide his reaction when asked about being named MVP of the Round 1. "It's a nice honor," he said, failing to suppress a wide smile. The trophy was presented to Guerrero moments after his club eliminated the Cincinnati (AZL) Reds to advance to the Round 2. San Diego (AZL) won the final game by a score of 10-2 at Goodyear Ballpark and took the series 4-2. "We won the series and that's the main thing," Guerrero said. "They were a tough team and we didn't want to take anything for granted." For the series, Guerrero hit .400 with a .464 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 12 RBI and scored 5 runs. "He was tough to stop and that's a big reason they're there and we're here," said a dejected Cincinnati (AZL) manager . The San Diego (AZL) Padres will play against the Los Angeles N (AZL) Dodgers in the next round. Los Angeles N (AZL) won their series against the San Francisco (AZL) Giants 4 games to 1.
