The 26-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Dodgers past the Arizona Diamondbacks. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Veto told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The third baseman went 4-for-4, rung up 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Mike Veto singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Chris Monsees in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Steve Kilbane in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Reinaldo De Paula in the 7th. On the season, Veto is batting .244 with 30 home runs and 84 RBIs. He has played in 145 games. |
