Big Bat Pays Off, Guzman Player of the Week Monday, July 1st , 2030 It was some kind of week for Denzer Guzman of the Trenton Thunder. First he hits the heck out of the ball, ripping it at a .529 clip and the next thing you know, he is voted the Player of the Week in the Double-A Northeast. Last week Guzman went 9-for-17, chalked up no home runs and 3 RBIs and scored 4 runs. Not a bad week's work at all. Looking at his stats this year, Guzman has compiled a .340 batting average, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 19 runs. He has played in 28 games and scored 20 runs. |
