AA NE's Star Player Named Monday, August 5th , 2030 Jose Mendivil must have thought he died and went to heaven this week. First he went on a remarkable batting rampage, hammering the ball at a .625 clip, then the Harrisburg center fielder finds out he has been voted the league's top performer and gets the AA NE Player of the Week Award. For the week Mendivil batted .625 (10-for-16) with no home runs and 2 RBIs. Thus far this season Mendivil has hit .290 with 2 home runs, 35 RBIs and scored 58 times. |
