Yarnall Strokes 5 Hits Saturday, June 15th , 2030 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Joey Yarnall of the South Bend Cubs had a sensational game against Peoria at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 10-2 shellacking of the Chiefs. In the postgame press conference, he joked that he was going to take the rest of the week off. "I did all my hitting in one day -- what else do they want from me?" he said with a laugh. Joey Yarnall singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 7th. So far this season Yarnall has 4 home runs and a .301 batting average.
