Arjona Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Saturday, June 22nd , 2030 Nobody has been able to shut down Lake County Captains third baseman Manny Arjona in recent days. The Peoria Chiefs fared no better than the rest. Today at Classic Park, Arjona picked up 3 hits in 6 at-bats en route to a 8-7 Captains victory. It stretched his hitting string to 20 consecutive games. Manny Arjona hit an RBI double in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 4th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 8th, flied out in the 11th and hit an RBI single in the 12th. For the year Arjona has hit .330 with 4 home runs, 36 RBIs and scored 35 runs. |
