Kernels End Arjona's Streak Tuesday, June 25th , 2030 Manny Arjona's 22-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today as the Lake County Captains suffered a 14-6 setback against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Arjona went without a hit in 5 trips to the plate. He was visibly upset during a postgame press conference, but it appeared that the streak had little to do with it. "The hitting streak was one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep about it tonight," he said. "On the other hand, I am going to lose sleep about dropping this game today." Arjona is currently batting .319 with 4 home runs, 37 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 67 hits in 210 at-bats. |
