TinCaps Lamb Fires No-Hitter Sunday, July 28th , 2030 Fort Wayne TinCaps starter Bob Lamb was unhittable today at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Lamb beat the Cedar Rapids Kernels 2-0, breezing through the Kernels lineup en route to a no-hitter. "I thought Bob started off a little slow and was struggling with his command at first," TinCaps manager said later. "He lucked his way through the early innings, and they helped him out by not being patient. Eventually, it all came together for him, and from there on the Kernels never had a chance. He dominated them." Lamb struck out 4 batters and issued 2 walks in the performance. Checking out his stats for the season, Lamb has racked up 6 wins and 5 losses in 17 starts, posted a 3.61 ERA, and struck out 85 batters in 87.1 innings. View Boxscore |
