July's Best A+ C Hurler is McHann Thursday, August 1st , 2030 The High-A Central announced the winner of the Pitcher of the Month Award. It went to relief specialist Steve McHann of Cedar Rapids for his outstanding work on the mound. The Cedar Rapids reliever had no saves, pitched 36.1 innings, struck out 26 and walked 12 on the way to a 5-0 mark and a 1.73 ERA. Running the numbers on McHann for the year, he has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 7-6 won-lost mark with a 2.66 ERA. In pitching 115 innings, he has totaled 72 strikeouts and 38 walks. |
