A E Awards Best Batter Prize to Barker Monday, July 8th , 2030 Low-A East pitchers tried and tried all week long to stop Chris Barker, but to no avail. His eyes would light up when he came to the plate and he hit everything in sight, batting .600 for the week to win the A E Player of the Week Award. The Charleston right fielder cracked 12 hits in 20 at-bats, 2 home runs, drove in 8 runs and scored 6 times. Barker is hitting .342 so far this season with 29 RBIs and 35 runs scored.
