League Suspends New York A (DSL)'s Caravaggio
Wednesday, August 14th , 2030
The New York A (DSL) Yankees were officially notified that right fielder Bertrando Caravaggio had been suspended for an altercation that occurred in yesterday's game with the Tigers at New York Yankees Complex. After arguing a called third strike by the plate umpire, an enraged Caravaggio threw his batting helmet toward home after he reached the dugout.
That action got him ejected and a 2-game suspension.
"I threw the helmet and I shouldn't have. But I don't deserve the suspension. It was a bad call that started this whole mess."
So far this season Caravaggio is batting .154 with no home runs, 0 RBIs and no runs scored. He has 2 hits in 13 at-bats, 1 walk and a .214 OBP. Caravaggio has played in 13 games.
