Delgado Powers 3 HR Against Milwaukee (DSL) Monday, August 26th , 2030 Ed Delgado of the Rockies won the battle against Milwaukee (DSL) pitching, but lost the war. He hit three out of the park at Milwaukee Brewers Complex, got his name in the league record book, but Colorado (DSL) came up short in the win column, losing to the Brewers 10-9. The Colorado (DSL) shortstop was red-hot, the ball just exploded off his bat all day long. "I don't try to hit homers," he said. "I try to go out there and have good at-bats. If I put a good swing on the ball, then it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one. I just try to have good at-bats." For the game he went 3 for 4 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Where does he rank this day in his career? "It's up there," Delgado said. "I'll put it up there in the upper echelon, despite the loss." Ed Delgado struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Doug Kozlowski in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Kevin Rieger in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Dan Coggins in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th. For the season Delgado is currently batting .370 with 6 home runs and 32 RBIs. In 34 games he has reached base at a .500 rate and scored 20 runs to date. |
