Ricky Esquivel Lost for Season Friday, August 31st , 2029 Ricky Esquivel will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Houston (DSL) reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Esquivel was injured while throwing a pitch in the Astros-Mariners clash at Houston Astros Blue Complex recently. Doctors said he has radial nerve compression and would be out a minimum of 7 months. This season Esquivel has chalked up a 6.06 ERA while ringing up 1 save with 2 wins and 4 losses. He has made 6 relief appearances, pitching 16.1 innings, giving up 13 hits, and holding opponents to a .213 batting average. Esquivel has also recorded 17 strikeouts and allowed 11 walks. |
