Delgado Tosses No-No Against Cardinals
Sunday, August 12th , 2029
Sal Delgado was just plain nasty on the mound today, overpowering the Palm Beach Cardinals in a complete game no-hitter.
The right-hander used his signature slider to perfection as the Daytona Tortugas waltzed to a 8-0 win.
"He was what the kids call 'filthy,'" losing manager said later.
In a dominant performance, Delgado faced 29 batters in all and finished the game with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"After the first couple of innings, I knew I had some good stuff going," Delgado said. "In the bullpen, it really wasn't that good, to be honest. But when I got out on the mound and flipped the switch, I had some pretty good stuff."
To this point in the season Delgado has 3 wins and 9 losses and a 3.40 ERA.
