Yankees Take Nail-Biter Over Rockies
|
Artie McClure was superb against Colorado. The right-hander, who is tied for 5th in the AL in strikeouts with 68, had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Yankees victory. The score was 6-5. New York has a 3-game win streak, while Colorado has lost 5 in a row.
New York won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. With two outs and Daniel Reynolds on the mound for Colorado, second baseman Wing Rang hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Yankees fans to their feet.
Rang said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
