Cubs Drop Another One
|
The Milwaukee Brewers topped the Chicago Cubs, 10-2, in National League action at Wrigley Field. The player of the game was Milwaukee left fielder and Stoughton, Massachusetts native Allen O'Brien. Andrés Núñez picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-6. He struck out 6 in 6 innings. Adrian Frost, credited with the save, is now 2 for 4 in save opportunities.
Jeud Ackerman contributed an important at-bat in the top of the third. With the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that helped send Milwaukee to the win.
"It was full throttle on our side," said Ackerman.
The last-place Cubs have lost 11 straight games.
