Braves Win in 13
|
The Braves had to overcome a fine effort from Miami pitcher César Cabral to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Turner Field. Cabral went 6.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Atlanta reliever Josh Ashe picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. José Villalobos shouldered the loss. The Braves now have a record of 76-85 with the win over Miami.
With the clubs tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 13th and runners on 2nd and 3rd, catcher Eric Barthold, who is a two-time All-Star, hit a sacrifice fly.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Miami manager Ron Harrison.
