Alcorn Powers Blue Jays to 9-5 Win

The Toronto Blue Jays downed the San Diego Padres, 9-5, at Rogers Centre. John Alcorn led the way, going 3-for-5 for Toronto. The winning pitcher was Tyrone Bryant. He tossed 93 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. Toronto is now 28-26, while San Diego is 25-29.
The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from designated hitter Mels Isabekian. For the game, Isabekian was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
