Robienayai, Rockies Take Dramatic Game 1 for 1-0 Series Lead
The Colorado Rockies started the Wild Card Round in dramatic fashion today, stealing Game 1 from the Kansas City Royals in a walk-off in the 10th inning. Colorado took the 3-2 win thanks in large part to a good day from starter Sarsa-Dengal Robienayai. The right-hander threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball in the win, which gave the Rockies a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-3 series.

Late in the game, left fielder Eric Webb had a big at-bat for Colorado. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Carlos Rocha. The play gave the Rockies a 3-2 lead.

"Things broke our way today and that's great," Rockies manager Benjamin Spiro said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."

The next game is set to be played Thursday at Kauffman Stadium. Slated to start are Kevin López for the Colorado Rockies and Enrique Vázquez for the the Kansas City Royals.
