Rangers Make It 4 Straight with 6-3 Win
The Texas Rangers beat the Boston Red Sox by a score of 6-3. Texas first baseman Michael Gutiérrez deserved the lion's share of the credit. Gutiérrez went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Rangers. A.J Klein notched his 16th save in 19 chances. The American League Southern Division-leading Rangers are 36-24.

Texas used a clutch hit from Cary Mench to get the win. The right fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rangers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Gutiérrez. "I just want to win ballgames."
