Seattle rode a decent outing from starter Martin Davis to victory over the Los Angeles Angels. The final score was 4-2. The Mariners improved to 31-40.
Mike Heethe aided the Seattle cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I thought we played a nice game," Heethe told the Seattle Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
