Behind an impressive start by Noriyuki Ine, San Francisco beat Houston, 3-2. Juan Carlos Muñóz recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 24 for 26. The Giants saw their record improve to 55-54.
Sean McKinney helped out the San Francisco cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter was 2-3 with a double and a walk.
After the game, San Francisco manager Tim Ackley applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
