Reyes Slugs Reds to 5-3 Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds get after it.

The Cincinnati Reds topped the Milwaukee Brewers by the score of 5-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Rubén Reyes. Reyes went 4 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double for the Reds on the day. The winner in relief was Tim Crawford. He is now 6-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings.

Cincinnati took a 4-3 lead on Guo-xiu Tse's 34th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Milwaukee pitcher Richard Powell in the bottom of the eighth.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Cincinnati manager Sean Bain.

Cincinnati goes to 91-50. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.
