Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees.

Good production from third baseman Stan Encell helped the Toronto Blue Jays topple the New York Yankees, 5-3. Encell went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Blue Jays. Matt Conl, the winning pitcher, improved to 6-11. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Lou Markakis was credited with the save, his 22nd in 26 tries.
