The Minnesota Twins topped the Texas Rangers, 11-5, with left fielder Leandro Vargo playing a big role. Vargo hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the Twins in the win. Matt Quinn notched his 1st save in 1 chances. Minnesota now has a record of 88-60 with the win.

The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when Vargo, who is tied for 7th in the AL in total bases with 312, hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Twins into the lead, 8-5.
