Pirates Clip Brewers, 3-2
|
Pittsburgh beat Milwaukee at PNC Park, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman George Alexander. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Milwaukee drops to 7-7.
Alexander had a timely hit for Pittsburgh in the bottom of the sixth. With Milwaukee trailing 2-0, he turned a 2-1 changeup into a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 3-2, Pittsburgh.
Alexander said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
