On Road, Seattle Beats Arizona, 4-0
|
Seattle starter Steven Parkinson pitched well against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Roshar Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-0. Seattle is now 8-10.
Seattle used a well-timed hit by Rob Altobelli to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Mariners ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"It was a solid team effort," said Altobelli after the game.
