Thursday, December 22nd, 2050
A trade was announced today at a press conference in Cleveland. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Cleveland Indians general manager shook things up by acquiring 33-year-old CF Jeremy Miller, a 1st round draft pick, a 2nd round draft pick and a 3rd round draft pick from the Cincinnati Reds for 30-year-old CF Alfonso Téllez.
"We're a better team now," Indians general manager Randy Pickard said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle."
Cleveland will retain a portion of Téllez's remaining contract.
Lifetime Téllez is hitting .262 with 70 doubles, 7 triples, 118 home runs, 307 RBIs and 322 runs scored. He has appeared in 464 games to date and delivered 455 hits.
Miller has a lifetime .282 average with 1587 hits, 242 doubles, 45 triples, 176 home runs and 665 RBIs to date.
