Gonzáles Smacks 5 Hits for Athletics Friday, April 10th , 2071 The 5th time was not the charm for Pablo Gonzáles today. The first baseman for the Oakland Athletics hit the milestone today at Coors Field, but it was the Colorado Rockies that salvaged a 9-6 victory. Gonzáles finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough. "He was not an easy out, that's for sure," Colorado manager Justin Buzzotta said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Gonzáles declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one." Pablo Gonzáles singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
