Shinobu Narita discovered that today at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, as he smashed three home runs during the 8-0 Baltimore Orioles win over the Oakland Athletics. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Baltimore second baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Narita finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 3 RBIs. Shinobu Narita hit a solo-shot off Clinton HOl in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Clinton HOl in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Spike Brown in the 9th.
