Tan and McBryde Swapped Monday, June 1st , 2071 Los Angeles and Philadelphia announced today in a joint press conference that 21-year old minor league 2B Qin-shu Tan, 19-year old minor league RF Clarence Scott, 19-year old minor league CF Ramiro Avana, 34-year old 3B Enrique Castillo, a 3rd round draft pick, and a 4th round draft pick will be going to the Phillies in exchange for 30-year old 3B Bill McBryde and a 6th round draft pick. "It'll be exciting to join a new organization," one player said. "Some of us could use a fresh start." The players have each passed physicals and are expected to report by day's end. For the season McBryde is currently batting .308 with 10 home runs and 37 RBIs. In 48 games he has reached base at a .389 rate and scored 34 runs to date. |
