Vásquez Takes AC Top Starter Trophy Monday, June 1st , 2071 Last month's cream of the crop on the mound was Larry Vásquez of the Oklahoma City RedHawks. He captured the American Conference Pitcher of the Month award for his outstanding performance in May. Vásquez started 5 games, threw 36.2 innings, yielded 22 hits and logged a 4-0 record. He put down 32 batters on strikes, walked 10 and compiled a 2.21 ERA. Opposing teams batted .168 against him. Thus far this season, Vásquez has worked 50.1 innings with 38 strikeouts en route to a 4-1 record and a 3.04 ERA. |
