Asada on the Attack, Player of the Week

The votes have been tallied and the winner of the Korean Futures League Player of the Week has been named. It was awarded earlier today to Hayami Asada for his great week at the plate.
The Icheon left fielder took home the trophy by banging out 14 hits in 30 at-bats for a .467 batting average, driving in 8 runs and scoring 2 times.
This season, Asada is batting .475 with 29 hits, 4 home runs, 18 RBIs, 4 walks, .500 OBP and has scored 11 runs. He has played in 14 games.

Figueroa Holds Wranglers Scoreless

Kihung were shut out, 2-0, by Lorenzo Figueroa and the Sangdong Giants at Sangdong Fields. The Wranglers offered little resistance to Figueroa, who stopped them on 2 hits, fanned 3 and walked 1.
"It just felt right today," the left-handed Figueroa told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm."
To date this year, Figueroa shows a 4-0 record, 6 starts, 33 innings, 30 strikeouts and a 2.18 ERA.
