The Tafuna Clippers beat the Tonga Kings by a score of 5-4. Tafuna catcher Penaia Kororua deserved the lion's share of the credit. Kororua was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Clippers. Picking up the win was Phil Rabici. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 2. Pat Hakwa sewed up the save, his 6th.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the sixth when Kororua, who finished 4th in the PL in RBI with 72 in 2059, hit a grand slam home run. It propelled the Clippers into the lead, 5-3.

"Both teams played hard," said Tafuna manager Arlo Zimmerman.

The win puts Tafuna at 17-16 this season.
