Solomons Powers Kings to 9-3 Win
With designated hitter Nick Solomons leading the charge, the Tonga Kings defeated the Avarua Kiore, 9-3, at Ballpark of Avarua. Solomons, who finished 4th in the PL in wins above replacement with 5.4 in 2063, went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Stewart Veidreyaki, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 4.1 innings. With the win, Tonga raised its record to 18-16.

In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Solomons hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Solomons.
