Vanuatu second baseman Ron Taisia picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Port Moresby Wigmen, 7-6. The Vulcans raised their record to 12-30.

With Vanuatu leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Taisia hit a fastball from Micah Kuper for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Vulcans ahead, 4-0.

Vulcans manager Jim Burns wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
