The Samoa Nautilus had to overcome a fine effort from Suva pitcher Clement Laurent to grab a narrow 7-6 win at Albert Park. Laurent went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. Joey Saki recorded his 4th save for Samoa. The victory gives Samoa a record of 22-21.

Samoa used a clutch hit from Neil Ila to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Nautilus ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Ila said.
