The Samoa Nautilus picked up a win at Albert Park, knocking off the Suva Red Sox, 5-4. Starting pitcher Loïc Olivier played a key role in the triumph. Rodney Vero recorded the save, his 15th. The win puts Samoa at 26-23 this season.
Noël Tessier, the 27-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Tessier contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Samoa up, 3-0.
"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Olivier.
