Honiara Win Evens Series at 3
The Honiara Dragons and the Port Moresby Wigmen will take the League Cup to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation today, the Dragons shut out the Wigmen 7-0 at Ela Beach Coliseum to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Honiara right-hander Frédéric Djamali was named player of the game in the win after a strong outing in which he threw 9 innings of shutout ball.

Djamali tossed 116 pitches over 9 innings to clinch the win for the Dragons. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits, while racking up 9 strikeouts in the game.

"It feels a lot better to be tied than to be behind, even if it is only one game," Honiara manager Rob Dyck said.

Game 7 is scheduled for tomorrow in Port Moresby. Slated to start are Stuart Kumar for the Honiara Dragons and Joel Kama for the the Port Moresby Wigmen.
