League Cup Game 1 Victory for Palei and Honiara
The Honiara Dragons started the League Cup in style today, downing the visiting Lae Kumuls at Dragons Ballpark by a score of 7-1 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Dragons left-hander Matt Palei threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball.

The Dragons picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Honiara manager Silvio Dante.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dragons Ballpark in Honiara.
