Ve'ehala Blasts Clippers, Black Pearls Take Game 4, 12-4
On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Tafuna Clippers team, the Papeete Black Pearls had a tough assignment. Rodney Ve'ehala delivered.

The Black Pearls second baseman was unstoppable for the visitors, as he went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 in guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 12-4. Ve'ehala, 26, earned accolades for his efforts. The win means Papeete now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Kata Yamamoto dealt the Clippers a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Papeete leading 5-4, Yamamoto hit a 1-0 changeup for a grand slam home run.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Yamamoto told the Papeete Observer.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Black Pearls Ballpark in Papeete.
