Lae Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
Behind a bravura effort from starter Jacob Lene, the Lae Kumuls topped the Tafuna Clippers by the score of 6-1 today and got their first win in the 2065 Maui Shield. Lene threw 9.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the Kumuls. The win narrows Lae's deficit to 2-1.

The Clippers had little chance against Lene, who overpowered Tafuna hitters and struck out 12.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Lene.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Rainforest Park in Lae.
