The Vanuatu Vulcans topped the Port Moresby Wigmen, 3-2, in Melanesia League action at Ela Beach Coliseum. The game was highlighted by the performance of Vanuatu pitcher Fa'atiga Malielegaoi. Afano Adams closed the door for Vanuatu, picking up his 7th save of the year. Vanuatu, with the win, is 16-42.

Ron Taisia contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a sacrifice fly. His at-bat helped Vanuatu get the win.

"A great game, a great day," said Malielegaoi about the win. "I can't complain."
