Kings Get Past Samoa for 8-7 Win
Riley Halangahu had a good game, but he could not keep the Samoa Nautilus from falling, 8-7, to the Tonga Kings at Ha'amonga 'a Maui Park. The Samoa second baseman was 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Sakaio Niumata snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 5-1 on the season. With the victory, the Kings upped their record to 31-28.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 7-7, pinch hitter Greg Kolo won it for Tonga. With a runner on 2nd, Kolo hit a 2-1 splitter from Joey Saki for a run-scoring double, giving his team the 8-7 win.

"We came out aggressive," said Kings manager Pat Kaers. "We came out swinging the bats."
