A good performance from shortstop Owen Samiu helped the Tafuna Clippers defeat the Avarua Kiore, 7-1. Samiu was 3-4 with 3 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Clippers. Tarek Delaporte picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-7. He struck out 6 in 6.1 innings. The triumph puts Tafuna at 34-26 for the season.

Uigaese Keyser had an important at-bat with one out in the top of the third, when he hit a solo home run. His 22nd home run of the season put Tafuna on top, 2-0.
