Clippers Deal Nautilus 8-0 Loss
|
The Tafuna Clippers topped the Samoa Nautilus by the score of 8-0, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Jonathan Bogisa. Bogisa was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Clippers. Richard Solbat, the winning pitcher, improved to 11-4. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and no runs, while striking out 7 and walking 2. The Clippers lead the Polynesia League by 4½ games.
Bogisa made an early impact for Tafuna when he stroked his 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the top of the first, put the Clippers on top, 6-0.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Jay A said.
